If a taxpayer residing in Newfoundland and Labrador has an eligible spouse or an eligible dependant, the amount of $1,868 should be entered on line 21 of federal Schedule 6. However, DT Max entered $1,844 on this line. Is this correct?

No. If this situation applies to your client, please correct the amount shown on line 21 of Schedule 6 by following these steps:

  • Use the Override keyword and enter the amount of $1,868 on line 21 of federal Schedule 6.
  • Then, use the Efile keyword and select the option "Yes - even if ineligible".
